New Mattresses for Mothers Day!!! Thu 4th Mar 2010
Mums work an average of 90 hours per week, according to a recent study. Between responsibilities at work and at home, mums frequently sacrifice sleep to meet all their demands. More than 50 percent of UK women polled by the National Sleep Foundation say they only get a good night's sleep a few nights a week. Furthermore, 43 percent reported that daytime sleepiness interferes with their daily activities.
Lack of sleep can have a negative effect on several aspects of mum's life, including her health, mood and performance, whether in the boardroom or at home. To help mums avoid these risks and get the rest they need and deserve, we would like to suggest the following tips:

- Establish a relaxing bedtime routine to allow your body and mind to unwind.
- Create a calming sleep environment, making it cool and comfortable for a good night's sleep.
- If you can't sleep after 30 minutes, get up, read or listen to soothing music until you are sleepy.
- Begin exercising on a regular basis, but do so at least three hours before bedtime.
- Avoid nicotine, caffeinated and alcoholic drinks in the late afternoon and night. Nicotine and caffeine can delay sleep while alcohol may interrupt sleep later in the night.
- Avoid naps during the day if you experience problems sleeping at night.
- If you are not getting the restful sleep you need each night, perhaps it's time to consider investing in a new mattress. Look for a mattress that is comfortable and provides correct back support.
