As individuals, we all differ in size, shape and weight. Manufacturers give tension of mattresses as a guide only. Therefore, due to the subjective nature of Mattress Tensions, all Firmness guides stated online can only be taken as a general rule. Foam
Foam mattresses provide a supportive feel. The reflex foam core provides individual support that prevents rolling to one side or into the middle.

Latex
Latex is the ultimate natural elastic material, which conforms exactly to your body weight and shape, providing the optimum level of support for a healthy night's sleep.

Memory Foam
Memory Foam is specially designed foam that slowly contours to shape of your body. The material helps to relieve key pressure points, increase blood flow, and aid deep restful sleep.

Open Coil Spring
Open coil spring mattresses are the most common kind and are generally used towards the budget end of the market. They’re made of coil springs wired together beneath the mattress fillings.

Pocket Springs
Each spring is held in a individual pocket of material. The individual pockets are packed closely together. The springs work in harmony with body weight and movement to both support and minimise pressure points. This spring type will provide you with the best in independent support. There will be an increase in support with higher spring counts.
 

Platform Top

They feature a wooden frame and an upholstered layer on top. This type of base will provide a firmer feel to the mattress.

Sprung Base

This type of base helps create a softer supportive feel and can actually increase the life time of your mattress.

Timber Slatted

This type of base features slats giving you the option of an additional comfort layer beneath the mattress, but with more firmness than the pocket sprung bases. You can also adjust the lumbar region slats to fine-tune the level of firmness to suit you.

Padded Top

This type of divan provides a firmer feel with a ventilated top layer upholstered for subtle cushioning.

Heavey Duty Option

For sleepers over 18 stones the adjustable bed frame can be fitted with specially reinforced heavy duty bases that are designed to accommodate larger body types. These heavy duty beds can support weights up to 25 stone (158.7kg), giving you comfort and total peace of mind while you sleep.

The bed is offered with a special massage system built in. The effects of a massage system can provide welcome relief to muscular tension, as well as a reduction in stress, aches, and pains. It can also improve blood circulation, and stimulate faster healing of muscle damage, as the vibrations aid the flow of blood to and around affected areas.

The bed will feature one of two massage functions:

• Inside the mattress – available in foam / memory foam mattresses only and is built into the body of the mattress
• Outside the mattress – available on sprung mattresses, the system bolts onto the bed slats underneath the mattress

With the massage systems, you’ll be able to enjoy a full body massage. The intensity of the massage can be controlled via a handset controller, with different levels of vibration and modes of massage.
